I'm Floyd — a designer and developer who builds thoughtful digital experiences. I design websites, interfaces and visual identities, then build them myself, so nothing gets lost between the idea and the finished thing.
Built by Floyd is my own space for that work — the projects, the places I've travelled, and the things I'm learning as I go. It's personal, and I like it that way.
The story
Design and build, in one pair of hands
My work sits where UX/UI thinking, visual design and hands-on website building meet. I'll sketch the flow, shape the visual direction, and then write the code that makes it real — which means the design decisions survive all the way to the browser.
Along the way I've created portfolio sites, e-commerce experiences, event platforms and booking and event websites — including The Daiquiri Club and iWeb Live. Each one taught me something different about how people use the web, and I carry all of it into the next project.
Travelling has shaped the way I think too. Seeing different places, people and cultures has a way of stripping things back to what actually matters — and that shows up in how I approach clarity, and how I design digital experiences for people who didn't build them.
